Trader Joe’s plans to open a store in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood this fall, taking space formerly occupied by the now-defunct Treasure Island Foods.
It will be Trader Joe’s first location on Chicago’s South Side. The nearest store is in the South Loop neighborhood, on the Near South Side.
