A proposed special taxing district along Winthrop Harbor’s commercial corridor cleared its first hurdle earlier this month.
The Winthrop Harbor Village Board voted on a series of ordinances Feb. 5 that start the process that could ultimately lead to the creation of a tax-increment financing district.
