A Chicago police sergeant who was under investigation resigned Thursday, years after allegations of sexual abuse placed him on desk duty, officials said.
Eric Elkins was placed on paid desk duty in 2015 when four teenage boys told police he tried to fondle them at a family reunion in Michigan.
