GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers will have a different special teams coordinator next season, with new head coach Matt LaFleur firing Ron Zook on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Zook spent five years in Green Bay, usually having to work with inexperienced players. Zook’s units were among the most penalized in the league and also fell for some costly fakes.
Zook is a former college head coach so he understands the business and has to be among the least surprised by the move.
