Northern Illinois is welcoming back an alumnus as its new football coach.
The Huskies are expected to introduce former running back Thomas Hammock on Friday. In a release late Thursday, NIU announced it will hold introductory news conferences in DeKalb and Chicago but did not name the new coach.
