HARTFORD — A small airplane crashed while flying to Hartford Municipal Airport Wednesday evening, Dec. 12.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Beechcraft BE36 crashed in a field three miles southeast of the airport.
Hartford authorities were called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m.

The FAA says the pilot suffered minor injuries. No one else was onboard.
The FAA is investigating the crash to determine what went wrong.
